Emily Anderson: Vice Chair

Emily Anderson is the Director of Policy at the Association for Nonsmokers-MN. She has been a public policy advocate and grassroots organizer for more than 15 years. Emily has a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Cultural Studies from Macalester College and a Master of Arts in Communication, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University. She lives in Minneapolis, MN with her husband, Adam, and two kids, Vivian and Helen. Outside of work, Emily enjoys watching her kids play sports, heading into the great outdoors to bike, camp and swim, and cheering on the Packers.

Prior to joining The Sacred Transition board, Emily was a founding board member for TC Food Justice, an organization that works to reduce food waste and hunger in the Twin Cities by being a link between those willing to help and those in need. She was driven to join The Sacred Transition board because of her desire to make the world a kinder, better place and due to her own family's experience with colon cancer.
